Interesting title! The 22nd Alabama was ordered to Corinth from Mobile on Feb. 26, 1862.

Here's what I have on this unit, Company “G” of Randolph County, the “Randolph Spartans”.

Capt. R. G. Roberts. Relieved by order of a court martial on June 25, 1862.
Capt. Samuel H. Pairo. Elected Captain September 15, 1862; formerly Sergeant-Major of the regiment. Temporarily assigned to duty with General Pillow at Mobile, Alabama, February 27, 1863. [Dropped from the rolls for absence without leave on July 24, 1863.]
Capt. Benjamin B. Little. Promoted Captain September 1, 1863, to rank from July 24, 1863. Killed at Lickskillet Road, Georgia, July 28, 1864.
Capt. William Owen Baldwin, Jr. Promoted Captain September 14, 1864, [to rank from August 31, 1864]. Killed at Franklin, Tennessee, November 30, 1864. [DAB3:83; UA/63]

Officers and men organized at Wesobulga, Alabama, September 18, 1861, and enlisted in Confederate service at Montgomery, Alabama, on September 25, 1861. Survivors surrendered with Company “B” of the consolidated 22nd Alabama Infantry Regiment.

The entry following Capt. Baldwin's name means that he was a member of the class of 1863, University of Alabama, and is mentioned in a sketch in Owen's Dictionary of Alabama Biography, vol. 3:83. I continue to work on the Battle of Ezra Church or Lickskillet Road, if anyone is interested.
