Good work Virgil.

Looks like the 6th Tenn was in the same wreck or series of wrecks during the summer of 1862 as the 7th Miss. (August 1, 1862 south of Greenville, AL.

The wreck between pollard and Montgomery could be the Sept. 1863 accident that gets confused with the August 1862 accident.

Don't know the date or time of the Fla. derailment.

The accident after Chickamauga occurred Sunday Sept. 13, near Emerson at Alatoona Pass, GA. North and southbound train collided. Mostly evacuated sick from Chattanooga and fresh troops coming up from GA (mostly Tenn and KY units) These deaths were the original reason for the Marietta, GA Confederate cemetery where many of those killed at Chickamauga were later reinterred.

Don't know about the AL/GA line accident, but I know someone who had an ancestoer injured near Rome GA when the troops from Mobile were transferred to North GA. circa Spring 1864.

There was also a terrible accident at Cleveland, Tenn. involving an Alabama regiment.
