If you're interested in 9th Alabama you should read
'From Alabama to Appromatox' . It is a good history
written by an Athens News Courier reporter about
30 years ago. There is a copy at Athens STate College
and I believe at the Limestone County Archives. Also,
a little may be obtained from the "Journal of Captain
Thomas Hubbard Hobbs'. However, Capt. Hobbs
was killed at seven pines early in the war. There is also
a painting of Capt. Hobbs and his men leaving the
station at Athens, AL for sale by the Limestone Archives.
