Yes, it is very possible he was in the 11th alabama and
was from tish. co. MISS. I have a couple of rosters of
2 companies that were from around Limestone county.
However, I know of a company from Lawrence county,
Alabama. It is likely many men may have been from
counties bordering Miss. The 11th fell under the command
of Gen. Roddy who was from Florence, Alabama and his
men regularly went into MISS. There is also another
possibility. You did not give his date of enlistment.
Nathan B. Forrest cavalry fought at the battle of Tishimingo Creek(Brices' xroads). Roddys cavalry showed
up right in the midst of the fighting to help finish the battle.
It is possible he was recruited or joined up around the time of this battle.
