Is there any chance that he could have been associated with a unit from another state? I have a James M. Ormand with Companly A of the 17th MS Infantry, private and a James M. with Co. A, Mann's Texas Cavalry. A James (no middle initial) Co. A, 2nd Georgia Reserves, 2dn Lieut.
