Officers and men enrolled at Stockton, Alabama, and Blakely, Alabama, commissions dating from April 18, 1862. The original muster roll was composed on April 9, 1862. Formerly known as Captain Joseph Booth’s "Company 'A', Alabama Coast Guard", this command was stationed at Shell Banks near Fort Morgan, Alabama, during the summer of 1862. Early service records of this company are found Microcopy M311(Alabama), reel 26.
