The original, June 1860, list has 41 men. Of the 41, 14 later show up in the 25th Ala. Inf.

A list that I think is of the men submitted to the 2nd Alabama Inf. Reg. has 89 men on it. Most, if not all, are known to be residents of Pickens County.

Of this second list, I have identified 16 who served in Loomis’ 1st or 25th Ala. Inf. Reg., 36 who served in the 11th Ala. Inf. Reg., 8 ended up in various cavalry units (56th, 7th, 2nd, 12th Miss., Hatch’s 8th, Gen. Martin’s Escort Co., etc), and 6 in the 41st Ala. Inf. I have 22 men for whom I have not yet identified further service. [Note that service is not exclusive in the above. For example, one man may have served in both the 11th and the 25th, and be counted in both.]

Only one man on this second list shows up in the microfilm of the 2nd Ala. Inf. Regt., and he does show up as a member of Company A. I don’t know exactly what that means, but I do think that it may be an important clue.

I have not correlated the first, June 1860, list with the 11th Alabama Inf.

Also noteworthy is that Daniel M. Richards is on the second list, and is a Private.

Pickens Tigers was organized 9/31/1861 at Fort Gaines.
I had not found where it was mustered.
