Letters "I' and "J"

Bryan, After re-thinking what has been posted, I can see where you have some very good points. Even todays military (late 60's)the letters are used in code J=Juno I=Iwo, if my memory serves me correct. Another interesting point, on letter confusion, on some of my families headstones the letters "C" and "G" are mixed up (1970's) Yes, you do have some very firm ground to stand on.
