Hayes Lowe

The most likely candidate is the Thomas Lowe of the 2nd Battalion Light Artillery, Company F "Lumsden's Battery". This is the only company shown on Wayne's list that was recruited in Tuscaloosa County (as far as I found over a couple of years of research).
Also in that company was Elias Gray. He is not found on the 1860 Tuscaloosa County census, either. I also show the following, that could possibly be the same person:
GRAY, Eliss B.
Born 12/29/1845. Enlisted with the 36th Alabama Infantry, Company A. Company A was formed in Sumter Co. Buried in Confederate Cemetery, once located within the boundaries of Pickens Co, now in Sumter Co.
Opps, Thomas "Gray"...not "Lowe".
