Color Company
Fri Apr 20 17:59:23 2001
The color company of an infantry regiment with the full compliment of ten companies is the right-center company, which would be designated "5th Company" in the regimental line of battle. By the book, Co. A is assigned the right flank position, Co. B the left flank position and Co. C the color company position. The color guard is attached to the left of the color company and functions as a part of that company when marching by the flank, etc.
