Born 1825 in Person County, N.C. He married Dorcas Lucinda Love 9/13/1848 in Pickens Co., Ala. Moved to Henderson Co., Texas. Served with the 37th Texas Calvary. Died in service on 12/19/1863 in Hemstead at Camp Grove, Henderson Co., Texas.

Likely a member of the 40th Ala. Inf. or the 42nd Ala. Inf., or one of the Mississippi regiments that participated in that battle.)

Born 1842. Likely moved to Texas. Regiment unknown. Medically discharged November, 22, 1862.
