In reasearch of my relative this is what i have,he joined the Pickens Planters of Pickens co AL,was lent out to a Capt Summerfield of whom i have no info.Further info has him in the 40th or 41st confd infantry and that he was killed on july 15th 1864 near Marrietta GA.Heard there was a battle at Peach Tree Creek on that date but do not know if his unit was part of that battle.Would like positive info on a battle near Marrettia on that date and where the confd dead of that battle are buried.Thank you
