At the risk of being repetitive, since I just gave most of this information in the thread above, the 17th Ala. Inf. Reg. was recruited from Coosa, Lowndes, Montgomery, Pike, Randolph, Monroe, Butler, and Russell Counties. Company A was called the “Bartow Rangers”.
