I’m not sure that I have them all straight, but here goes:
Numbers represent National Archives Microfilm Box, Roll and number
James M. Walden; Private; Co A 17 Al. Inf.; 000374, 0046, 00001974
Rubin W. Walden, no Rubin found the only R in Al was a Richard.
Calvin B. Walden, no Calvin, but a C. Walden; cp of Instruction Talladega Al. 000374, 0046, 00001952
Dennis J. Walden; Private; Company B. 20 Reg. Inf. MS (Source Grady Howell’s Muster for Miss Confederates)
John E. Walden, A John (no middle initial) Co. F 10th Al. Cavalry; 2d Lieutenant; 000374, 0046, 00001978
Alvin Thomas, Grady Howells works lists two A. Howell’s one Pvt. Co D; 6th Ms Cavalry. The other is pvt; Co C; Davenports Battalion Cav; (State Troops)
If your Alvin is different from the A. listings please let me know. I'm sure Grady Howell would like to know. He does list another Walden with no first name or initial that was in Co G; Miles Legion.
