Matthew Arnold Jolly is not shown in the microfilm, that I have found yet, as Surgeon-in-Chief. He is shown in a bio as being promoted from Medical Director of Wharton's Brigade to Surgeon-in-Chief of the Army of the Trans-Mississippi. This must have been in the last couple of months of the war.
