How about "Confusion in the Ranks!"

Questions:

1. What was the rank of a Director of Hospitals?

2. What was the rank of a Surgeon who was head Surgeon at the Corps or Army level (are these the same)?

BTW, all the microfilmed records and postwar bios (apparently written by himself or a close relative) of Ord. Lt. Garrott show him as "Ordnance Lt.", not "Ordnance Officer". I wonder if there is some technical difference?
