"Palmetto" flag

This is undoubtedly just a coincidence but in this chain has been mention of a "palmetto" flag and a "blue" flag.
An unidentified S.C. Palmetto flag was recently auctioned on e-bay. The only history known was that it was found in a box of quilts in Alabama.
Just one on those little coincidences that makes one wonder.
