The flag was captured by Cpl. Stephen Calkin and Private James A. Pulliham (I am in Brasil now and do not have my records, so I am going by memory) 48th Co. H Ill V V I
July 28th 1864. All of this is written in the wide white part of the Flag along the top V section with 19th? ALA written in the wide white part on the side V section (this writing is very light). There are no Honors on the Flag. The Flag is currently going thru the authentification process. Regards, James
