Need a lookup in Time-Life Books!
Wed Apr 11 09:52:04 2001

I used to own this set of books, but sold them in the early 90's. I believe these are the "silver" books. If someone has a copy of the set would you please lookup the following?:

The killing ground: Wilderness to Cold Harbor
Jaynes, G. (1986), p. 71. Alexandria, VA: Time-Life Books.

Here is the text from the book

"To meet the threat, the sickly A.P. Hill ordered a small battalion from the 5th Alabama, numbering some 125 men, to charge the oncoming Federals, "firing fast and giving the Rebel yell as though regiment after regiment were coming" (Jaynes, 1986, p. 71). Meeting the demands of this emergency with the utmost bravery, the Alabamians stopped the approaching troops cold and forced them to halt their movements. Fortunately for the outnumbered Confederates, darkness fell upon the Wilderness before any more could be done. Wadsworth men had to stay put, but they still were a serious threat to the Confederate flank."

Could someone do a lookup and see if this information is sourced? I want to find the original document(s) from which this is taken.

Thanks,

Jim Martin
