My GGGrandfather William Sterling was in Lewis Ballation, Alabama Cavalry. The only information I've found on this outfit was in "Confederate Military History" where it quoted a few lines from the Official Records. Is there any independently prepared regimental history-type information available on this outfit? TIA...
