Banning, _Regimental history of the 35th Alabama Infantry, 1862-1865_, Bowie, MD : Heritage Books, 1999) using the records, I presume, of the National Archives. However, he does not mention either Hafley or Gray. I have discovered a number of occasions where legitimate soldiers, for whatever reason, are not included in the National Archives lists, and other evidence must be used to prove military service.Ken JonesRe: 35th AL — Douglas R.
