A little help.
Sun Apr 8 20:37:16 2001
I can only be a little help, as I have only researched the men of Company C of the 24th. Here is some general information on the regiment:
Organized at Mobile in August 1861. In April 1862, the regiments year of enlistment as a reserve unit was up, and the regiment was reorganized in the Hitchcock Warehouse, in Mobile, for active service. The regiment went into field service at Corinth.
Engagements: Blackland, Farmington, Murfreesboro, Chickamauga, Missionary Ridge, Crow Valley to Jonesboro, Columbia, Franklin, Nashville, and Salisbury.
I may have an opportunity to check the microfilm of this man's service record later this week.
A little more help....
