In Larry Daniel's "Soldiering in the Army of Tennessee" pg 28, he briefly list the following wrecks:
the Ponchatoula wreck of the 7th MS
summer 1862 wreck between Mobile and Montgomery involving the 6th TN
one near the Ala-Ga line w/the 27th TN
the 4th Florida derailing between Pollard and Montgomery, Al
and
before Chickamauga, a collison 3 miles north of Marietta, Ga
involving the 50th TN
Seems the more you look into the matter, they were pretty common. Just wanted to pass this on to those interested
