My wife is related to a Richard Inge Elliott who does not appear on the roster of the 35th Alabama, yet we have a copy of a diary he kept for two years while serving with this unit. Recently, his grandson, William R. Ormond my wife's first cousin (twice removed) had a Confederate Marker placed on his grave.
