Thanks to all of you who have responded to my request to
assist in the return of the flag of the 45th AL from the
Iowa Historical Commission. Thanks to everyone who called
Michael O. Smith, Chief Curator of the Iowa Historical Society.

Due to the efforts of many progress is being made. Our curator, Bob Bradley, says that there is a new avenue to
take which he will do ASAP. Many, many thanks to him for
his efforts since 1991 to get Iowa to do the honorable thing
and return the flag which was stolen by the 11th and 15th Iowa, July 22, 1864.
