This man enlisted in Co. "F", 16th Alabama, the "Dixie Rebels", at Courtland on Aug. 10, 1861. The roll for July 7, 1862 says he was absent without leave, with the date Feb. 6, 1862 beside that notation. No later record.

There's a man named O. H. P.(Oliver Hazard Perry?) Cox in the same company who was wounded at Murfreesboro TN Dec. 31, 1862.
