THere's at least one book about this regiment mentioned in the regimental bibliography for the 44th Ala. I'm assuming you have checked Dr. Jones' site, which is associated with this page. If not, you should spend some time there. If you want to be thorough, look at books and articles that refer to regiments in the same brigade. These are the 4th, 15th, 47th and 48th Alabama, and there are more sources on these commands than the average person can digest in a short time. There's even a book on Law's Brigade, which you really should consult.
