Not at all, thank you!

I went back to see what became of Thomas Freeman after his brief stay with the 18th Ala. There's a record of another Thomas L. Freeman in Co. D" , 2nd Ga. S. S. Battn. I'd like to know what's in that record.

I really wanted to mention seeing the records of James B. Freeman who served with Thomas in the same commands (Co. "A" of Blount's Battalion and Co. "L", 18th Ala.) When the battalion was reorganized at Mobile on March 2, 1863, evidently he was appointed color sergeant. James B. Freeman carried the flag of the 9th Ala. Inf. Battn. at Chickamauga Ga. on Sept. 19, 1863, and was seriously wounded in the neck and thigh. His name appears on a Confederate roll of honor for exemplary service, and when his regimental commander was asked to name someone to carry the flag as a commissioned officer (1st Lt. and Ensign), James B. Freeman received the appointment on April 28, 1864. The War Department confirmed his appointment on May 13, 1864. He continued to serve as ensign for the rest of the war and surrendered with his command at Meridian MS May 11, 1865.
