need info on William Knight,civil war

My ggrandfathers grave has this on it:
William Knight
Alabama
Pvt. Co. B 33 Regt. Ala Inf.
Confederate States Army
June 18,1839 Feb.9,1887
but I can't find him listed on the roll of the 33rd Regt. or for that matter I've not been able to prove any of this with concrete info.Can anyone help? He was from Butler Co. Ala. Thanks,
