18th Ala Inf Bttn (Gibson's) - Missing Company

I visited the Rice University Library yesterday and was browsing the "Broadfoot" unit rosters. I noticed while looking at the 18th Alabama Inf. Battalion that included the rolls of A, B, C and E companies; however, I saw no "D" company. Is this a misprint or oversight? Does anyone have roster information or know any other details about this company "D" of the 18th Alabama Infantry Battalion?
