Thank you Alan, I have a lot of researching in front of me from his enlisting in Clayton, Alabama and going to
Tippah County, Mississippi after his release from Camp Douglas in June, 1865. His first child was born in 1878 in Alabama so data sounds like it could be him. This site is not only good for civil war service but connecting family roots to loved ones..Many thanks again. Bonnie
