Hi Jim,

It sounds like Allen Pitts is right on the money again (as usual!). Neither Pleasant C. McBride nor John K. McBride are listed in any Arkansas unit. The only Arkansas regiment at Gettysburg was the 3rd Arkansas Infantry (Col. Van H. Manning), in the Texas Brigade of Longstreet's Corps. Neither man is listed on the muster rolls of the 3rd Arkansas, nor in the regiment's lengthy Gettysburg
casualty list.
