John, thank you for your response to Southeron, it is hard for me to believe there is such hate in the South. You have stated my sentiments perfectly. To the Victor belongs the spoils.

I had three great grandfathers who fought for the South in the War, one who died and many g.uncles. My husband had the same and one great uncle, Brig. Gen. Benjamin McCulloch of Texas who died, yet in these families there is no room for all of this hate. We have tried to learn from the past and to not repeat it in the future.
