Thanks for the response, Keith. I have now confirmed that JBWN was a surgeon commissioned 11/21/62 Chattanooga TN. furloughed Jan 1863. The 19th Battalion Cav. and the 2nd Battalion Cav. are also mentioned pertaining to him. Where are you going to research the unit in Montgomery? I wonder if the resource does research by request. Another wonderful helpful responder to a query found out the info above, which is more than anyone still living in my Nowlin line knew about him. I would love to purchase copies that show the actual records concerning him. Thanks for helping. Arlene
