I believe this unit was organized in Coffee County, AL.
Some of my ancestors, McNeal and Cardwell were in this
unit, the 12th Alabama. My great grandfather, William James
McNeal was a Sgt and survived the war, living out his life
in Bluff Springs, Fl . His daughter, Isabel McNeal married
Sylvester Medlock and they lived, raised a family and died
in Monroe County, AL
Any info on the 12th Alabama will be appreciated.
