Would also like to share information. I have a muster roll I found at Shiloh, which states that my GG Uncle, John Stinson (Comp I, 18th AL) was transferred to "Battalion Sharp-Shooters June 15th 1862 under Captain P. F. Hunley. I am unclear as to what the "battalion" distinction is, and what happened to him between that time and his capture in Kingston GA in 1863.
