I have in the past few years collected information about "Souhtern Unionist". It is quite a list for here but I will share the information I have if you care to e-mail me at df3ovc@earthlink.net.
My GG Grandfather William M. Frederick was born and lived in Marion Co. Ala. When the Union Army got to Tuscumbia Al. He went to Tuscumbia with a couple of men from the county. He joined the 3rd Ohio Cav in June 1862. He was with them to the end. He made Corpl and was discharged in 65. He went home to Alabama after the war. He had kin on both sides.
I have a "List" for folks who are researching kin that were Southern Unionist. It is for genealogy and information.
