J. Hugh LeBaronPerry County, AL Mexican War Veterans in Confederate ArmySun Feb 18 09:43:17 2001 I am writing a narravive about Mexican War vererans from Perry County, Alabama and want to include information about the Confederate service of these men, if any. There were nearly 100 men from Perry County who volunteered for service in Mexico. They were mustered into the U. S. Army at Mobile on June 13, 1846 and left for Texas and Mexico on June 29, 1846. They served in Company C of the First Regiment of Alabama Volunteers and were mustered out in New Orleans, Louisiana on May 27, 1847. Some of the men remained in Perry County but many moved away. I am seeking BIOGRAPHICAL and CONFEDERATE service information for the following men. In those cases where I know about the Confederate service I have entered a note to that effect.Daniel Allen Jesse AycockSeaborn Aycock, Company G, 25th Louisiana Infantry RegimentJames Francis Bailey, Alabama Committee of Military AffairsWilliam B.
