B. B. Brown

I do not think so. Burrell B. Brown is my ggrandfather. I found his will dated in 1861 which he left as his son of one a guardian of John A. Broughton of Morgan County Georgia. The census show that Burrell B. Brown had moved from Georgia to Alabama around 1860. The census show Burrell's son, William Able, born in Georgia and was 1 year old. The 3rd regiment Georgia Volunteer Infantry company D was organized in Morgan county. I do not have anything else to go on but I think these are the same two men. I think I know where his grave is in Montgomery, Al. but I have not gotten to it yet. Up until just 3 weeks ago I only had his wife's name and on the tome stone it had wife of B. B. Brown. That is all I had but I found his will in the records of Lownes County, Al. which gave me his name and maybe where he was from. I found his name in the records of soldiers of the south in the library and from that I found him in the army in Georgia. I feel he went back to Georgia to join up with family and friends in the army. The family story had him going back to Georga while the civil war was going on.
