50th al - William H. Scott

My great great great grandfather - William H. Scott was a
private in Co. E. He is listed as having died Sept. 23,1864.
I have family letters saying he was killed fighting in the GA
campaign. Can anyone confirm where he was wounded.
Does anyone know what fighting or skirmishing took place
after atlanta that the 50th was involved in.
