If memory serves, soldiers at Corinth suffered due to lack of fresh water and existing water sources being polluted by human waste. Officers did not see that sinks or latrines were properly positioned or used by their men, and results were deadly. Diseases encountered included dysentery, typhoid, diarrhea, malaria and measles.
