Hello

I am glad to see that someone is doing a first person account of this battle. My ancestor was in the 57th Ala infantry and was captured at that site and sent to Camp Chase. I would be greatly interested in any information you might gather concerning that unit.

All I have available to me is a roster of the unit and notations of who was killed or captured during thier service. If you wish I can forward that information to you.
