I can tell you that he served along side the following co-workers and patients from Pickens Co.:

[Note: some of those listed as patients here, *may* have actually been assigned to duty at the hospital, instead.]

HANCOCK, Jesse Thomas, Dr. (By Jan. 1864 he was stationed at the hospital in Marion, Ala. He served as a Druggist, Copyist, and Mess Steward. The last record of his presence there is dated Aug. 1864.)

ARCHIBALD, James R. (Paroled 5/16/1865 in Marion, Ala. He was a patient at the Confederate hospital in Marion.)

BEARDEN, G.T. (Paroled 5/16/1865 in Marion, Ala. A patient in the Confederate hospital at Marion.)

GOODWIN, R.H. (Paroled at Marion, Ala. on 5/16/1865. A patient in the Confederate hospital at Marion.)

MASON, Isaac D. (Paroled at Marion, Ala. on 5/16/1865. A patient in the Confederate hospital at Marion.)

The hospital at Marion was apparently part of the
Loring Division of Confederate Hospitals. Dr. Hancock, was stationed at Meridian, Miss. in Nov. and Dec. 1863. By Jan. 1864 he was stationed at the hospital in Marion, Ala. Apparently all staff and patients were transferred there from Meridian.
