Ken, I have reprinted copies of all the original Confederate Veteran magazines bound in book form, one volume per year. I also have a 3 volume index for this set and I looked up Beverly Pierce and the only reference that was listed was the passage from the volume that you mentioned. It does imply that the diary or parts of it would be published in later editions of the Veteran, but apparently this was not done. Wish I could be of more help.
