I wasn't referring to the government arsenal weapons used by Mississippi units so effectively in the Mexican-American war, thus earning their nickname as "Mississippi Rifles".I was referring to the Kentucky/Pennsylvania type flintlocks, which are also commonly called Mississippi Rifles, although I don't think that these were commonly rifled. I just sold my book that had all this info in it. : (At any rate, I know that the Kentucky/Pennsylvania style long-guns were what were being made at Greensboro...a likely supplier to a regiment receiving arms at Selma. I think that these were also what were being made at Tuscaloosa, another likely location to be supplying arms to Selma Arsenal.
