Thanks for this info.One other comment, the .70 was not an odd calibre ball. It was not a ball, technically, it is a "slug". It was used in the unchoked 12 guage shotgun, which has a +.70 inch inside diameter barrel. These .70 slugs are often misidentified as some kind of odd size ball.Don't quote me on this, but I believe that the buck and ball used the .70 cal. slug as the "ball".
