H. was born December 6, 1841 and died on August 7, 1912. He was the son of J. B. King. W. H. enlisted as a private at Marion, Alabama in Captain Henry Talbird's (President of Howard College)Company in 1861. This company became Company K of the llth Alabama Infantry Regiment.
