I've consulted Ellison's 'Alabama Newspapers' and don't see the newspaper you mentioned. The closest to that title is the 'Eufaula Weekly TImes and News', which was printed from 1883 to 1897, which was the Eufaula 'Times and News'prior to that (1880). Did you mean to say the 'Spirit of the South', which was the wartime newspaper of this town? Where did you see this paper? Thanks.....
