I can't remember if I got this info from a tombstone, or from the 1907 Confederate Veteran Census. Whichever it was, it definitely said "Company C". I may have to retrace my footsteps to see for certain if it said "infantry", but I'm almost certain that it did. Wasn't the 5th Batt. Hilliard's Legion all cavalry?
