ps i forgot to add that my grandfather, John James (JJ) Stoker (1841 - 1939) is said to have served in the 3rd Alabama infantry, Hill's division. (family notes) Some old microfilm prints from Confed. Arch. chap 6 file 197,151 etc mention Co I 3rd Regt Ala Some of those records appear to say (handwritten) John L and John F and James J Stoker but we all consider his correct name John James Stoker. Could have been others with similar names but we don't think so.
